To Place an Equipment Component

Select the component from one of the Equipment galleries:

The placement dialog displays.

In the Associations tab, select the Unit and Service values to associate with the equipment component.

Expand the Properties tab and enter a tag number for the component.

Define the dimensions for the component in the Design Geometry tab. Match the property fields to the corresponding dimensions in the preview image.

Note: A ghosted image of the component is attached to the cursor and is updated dynamically as you enter geometric values.

Define any additional property values in the corresponding tabs.

Note: The placement dialog remains open throughout the placement process allowing you to modify or add new property values if necessary.

Pick a placement point for the component or enter the coordinates directly into the Accudraw window.

Select the rotation for the component by picking a point in the drawing or entering the value in the AccuDraw window.

Right-click to terminate the command.
